• GUI-based method: This method is the most often used uninstallation procedure. Requirements for using this method include:
• Console-based method: This method is available to users who do not have an X-Windows client available for remote network connectivity to the PPT server via Telnet or SSH.
Step 1
Step 2 Go to the directory in which PPT is installed (the /users/ppt directory by default) by entering the following command:cd /<ppt_install_dir>
Step 3 Go to the /Uninstall_PolicyProvisioningTool sub-directory by entering the following command:cd Uninstall_<ppt_install_dir>./Uninstall_<ppt_install_dir>
Step 5 Click Next. A dialog appears identifying the processes to be stopped.
Step 6 Click Next and follow the on-screen instructions.
Step 7 Click Finish to complete the uninstallation process.Important: The uninstallation process also removes all the database entities pertaining the PPT build being uninstalled. This database can no longer be recovered too.
